Reduce the reaction time of a turbo and improve its reliability by releasing the compressed air during deceleration.
Most FORGE valve dumps can be mounted in place of the original, guaranteeing ease and reliability of assembly.
Available in closed circuit version (expulsion of air into the intake manifold, silent operation) or open circuit version (expulsion of air into the engine compartment, discharge sound).
What is a dump valve used for and how does it work?
The dump valve is an element that allows to control the supercharging.
When your Turbo is running at high speed and provides supercharging, it cannot stop or even slow down very quickly because the intake system is still full of pressurized air.
Since the pressure can't go anywhere, it is forced back into the compressor and tries to turn the wheel the other way, producing a pressure spike that is harmful to the compressor.
The relief valve mounts on the intake pipe and contains a spring-loaded diaphragm or piston that lifts when it senses an increase in pressure.
As soon as the air is released for one second, you're done shifting gears and the boost resumes, virtually without interruption!
