Sale of GIRODISC brake discs
Find the selection of GIRODISC brake discs on Oreca-Store. Brake discs specially designed for racing due to their high resistance, their braking performance and the weight saving they bring to the vehicle.
Why does my car need brake discs?
When you press the brake pedal, you release brake fluid throughout the braking system to the calipers. The calipers translate the braking power you have indicated you want by pressing the pedal harder or softer by tightening and bringing the brake pads into contact with the discs. The contact of these two elements causes friction that slows down the rotation of the brake disc, which is attached to the wheel hub. By extension, the rotation of the wheel is also slowed down.
Pads and discs are parts that wear out quickly due to repeated friction. For racing cars, it is recommended to have suitable pads and discs made of quality materials to benefit from a longer life and better resistance to overheating.
Why choose Girodisc brake discs?
Girodisc has designed a range of brake discs specifically to meet the needs of motorsport drivers and teams. With their semi-floating technology, they save precious weight by reducing the weight of unsprung masses, which will allow you to improve your performance.
The composition of cast iron for the track and aircraft grade aluminium for the central part guarantees efficient and responsive braking as well as greater resistance to time and heat.
