Sale of GFB Dump Valve

Find all GFB dump valves on sale on Oreca-Store.com. Ideal for ensuring the reliability of your turbo and boosting its performance, GFB dump valves are high performance equipment.

What is the purpose of a dump valve?

The dump valve, also known as the "relief valve", is a component that reduces the reaction time of a turbo and improves its reliability.

During acceleration, the turbo turns at high speed and compresses the air in the intake. During deceleration, however, the throttle valve closes and the compressed air can no longer go into the intake and is forced back into the turbo, where it tries to turn the wheel in the other direction. This phenomenon produces a pressure spike that is harmful to the turbo and lengthens its response time.

The dump valve is mounted on the intake pipe and consists of a spring-loaded diaphragm or piston that lifts to quickly release excess air pressure on deceleration. In the case of an open circuit, the air is discharged into the engine compartment and produces a distinct discharge sound (the famous "pschitttt"). In the case of a closed circuit, the air is expelled more quietly into the intake manifold.

Why choose a GFB dump valve?

There are several brands of Dump Valve, each offering different features and compatibility. Of all the choices available, the GFB brand dump valves offer a strong reference, as the Australian manufacturer is ISO 9001 certified and has always developed high quality automotive parts.

GFP offer several ranges of dump valves including the Respons range which allows precise adjustment of the amount of air discharged into the atmosphere to your requirements or the Deceptor Pro II range which has the same benefits and features as the Respons range but with electronic recirculation or remote discharge adjustment from the passenger compartment.
