CL Brakes' signature compound has been the brake pad of champions for over 6 years. Its high yet controllable initial bite, low compressibility for rock-hard pedal feel, consistenly high friction coefficient and moderate pad wear make it an excellent choice for a varity of motorsport applications, from rally to tarmac.
Average friction coefficient of 0.6. This material meets the most demanding racing conditions.
It is found on high level competition cars (WRC, R5, WTCC, ZA V8, GT ...). Its resistance to wear is increased. The RC8R has a radiator system in the form of grooves in the back of the pads, which offers better heat dissipation.
The radiator effect and a lower contact surface plate / caliper piston therefore reduce the temperature of the brake fluid. Its use requires a high performance brake fluid.
