ATB Limited slip differential for Subaru BRZ or Toyota GT86
QUAIFE ATB Limited slip differential for Subaru BRZ or Toyota GT86
Originally introduced in the 1980's, Quaife ATB limited slip differentials have proven themselves. Designed with the utmost precision in England, they have unrivalled reliability and are used all over the world in rally and circuit racing and on the road.
The Quaife ATB (Automatic Torque Biasing) limited slip differential is the perfect solution for traction. It offers many performance advantages on all cars using a so-called open differential from the factory.
The way it works is quite simple: the Quaife differential automatically redirects the torque to the wheel with the most grip. This results in less understeer on a front-wheel drive (or four-wheel drive) vehicle and less oversteer for a rear-wheel drive vehicle.
On front wheel drive vehicles, the benefits of the Quaife differential are even felt during braking. The torque is transferred in the opposite direction to the wheel that is not locked. As a result, braking is improved by delaying the action of the electronic ABS system.
The mechanical action of Quaife limited slip differentials is perfectly compatible with the electronic systems of trajectory control, traction control and anti-lock braking.
In addition, unlike conventional disc brakes, the Quaife ATB is quiet and non-intrusive even during low-speed manoeuvres. The ATB Quaife, with its proven helical gearing system, is maintenance-free and has no wearing parts.
Performance is uncompromising with unbeatable reliability.
Quaife differentials are now renowned worldwide, with major manufacturers such as Ford, BMW, Lotus and Chrysler having already understood this. For example, the Ford Focus RS, Ford Fiesta ST, Lotus Evora 400 or Mini John Cooper Works has a Quaife limited slip differential as standard.
All Quaife products are precision engineered from certified steel billets and inspected to ISO9001-2008 standards. The factory located in Gillingham, Kent, has 3D CAD/CAM design software and a 3 to 5 axis CNC robotic machining centre. This commitment to quality allows Quaife to guarantee its differentials for life.
Key points:
- The Quaife ATB differential never locks
- Power is transmitted to all drive wheels to maximise traction
- Reduces unwanted torque feedback causing understeer or oversteer
- Perfect compatibility with ABS, ESP, TCS electronic systems
- Improves braking on front wheel drive vehicles
- Reduces tyre wear by preventing wheel spin
- Works with maintenance-free helical gears
- Fits in place of the original
- Retains original maintenance schedule and lubrication
- Lifetime warranty*.
