Opel Speedster NA and turbo 23 degrees QUAIFE LSD
A benchmark in the limited slip differential market since the 1980s, the Quaife brand has proved its worth with high-quality products manufactured in the UK.
With unrivalled reliability, Quaife limited slip differentials are used in rally, track racing and even as original equipment by some manufacturers.
This differential is fitted with helical gears at an angle of 23 degrees. This reduced angle compared with the brand's other differentials limits the torque transfer of the differential. As a result, it is better suited to light cars, particularly those with a rear mid-engine which, with a standard differential, would suffer a lot of understeer due to too much torque transfer between the drive wheels.

Quaife LSDs operate on a helical gear system, unlike disc-type LSDs. This technology offers a number of advantages, including non-existent maintenance and non-intrusive behaviour (quiet, less torque feedback, no differential lock).
It works quite simply: the Quaife differential automatically redirects torque to the wheel with the most grip. This translates into less understeer on a front-wheel drive (or four-wheel drive) vehicle and less oversteer for a rear-wheel drive vehicle.
