MOCAL oil coolers The working temperature of an engine or gearbox directly impacts your car's performance.
Technical information:
Mechanical losses through friction are to a certain degree transformed into heat which the oil has to evacuate. A 30% increase in engine power will result in an additional 3% calories to be evacuated. Friction is even higher when the engine is turning rapidly. The ideal working temperature is between 90 and 115°.
Any difference - either upwards or downwards - will have a negative impact on output and engine life. After 130°C, the oil very quickly loses its lubricating power. The easiest solution is to fit an oil cooler, which also increase oil capacity.
