Limited slip differential MA gearbox - original universal joint
The limited slip differential is used to redistribute power to the wheels in case of adhesion loss.
It offsets this loss by sending more power to the wheels with the most adhesion on the road.
Remember to check the wear and tear of your limited slip differential and replace it if it is necessary.
To know if a limited slip differential is always efficient, you have to:
- Raise the car on only one side
- Measure with a torque wrench the key threshold by the hub nut. The lower it is, the less is efficient
- Measure with the second power wheel on the ground, so with adhesion.
