ACCUSUMP 3L electric engine oil pressure accumulator without valve 406 mm
This system has been developed to compensate for oil pressure drops during races.
It has 2 main functions:
- Pressurising the oil circuit before starting the engine.
- To top up oil when pressure drops in the circuit.
It is a sealed cylinder fitted with a piston that separates the oil and air. This cylinder fills itself according to the oil pressure in the circuit, until it reaches the point of equilibrium between air pressure and oil pressure. This means that if engine oil pressure drops, it will release the accumulated oil and compensate for the drop in pressure.
It can be controlled by 3 types of valve:
- Manual valve, ¼ turn
- Standard solenoid valve: quick drain and refill, ideal for pressurisation before start-up or drag and run applications.
- EPC solenoid valve: top of the range for racing use: discharges by itself when the alert is reached.
This valve comes with 3 minimum pressure alerts by default.
It's the only valve that can be used in competition for pressurising before starting and topping up during a race.
Main installation recommendations :
Fitted on the original oil circuit by installing a sandwich plate and a bypass T after the radiator.
Can also be mounted directly on the oil sump.
We recommend mounting the oil end slightly higher than the "air" end, to avoid the accumulation of air bubbles in the oil.
Hose connection :
Accusump 1l: AN-6 hose
Accusump 2 and 3l: AN-10 hose
