braking!
Top of the range braking for racing with CL Brakes
ORECA STORE offers you the best parts, especially for motorsport. That is why we have selected a wide range of products designed by CL Brakes, a company specialising in sports braking.
This includes high-quality brake fluids, but above all a wide range of brake pads. The latter benefit from the company's expertise in "sintered metal", a material that can withstand all types of stress, even under extreme conditions. It is this special construction that gives the components their outstanding properties, both in terms of performance and comfort.
What are brake pads for?
There are several braking systems, but the most common is certainly the disc system. These are accompanied by brake pads, positioned in calipers. It is these elements which, by friction against the discs, will cause the wheels to slow down and then stop the vehicle. This is the mechanism that operates when you press the brake pedal.
It is therefore easy to understand the importance of these components, particularly with regard to safety. The condition of these components should be monitored regularly to ensure that the brakes are effective in all circumstances. For track and rally drivers, high performance discs and pads are the best choice.
CL Brakes: French braking expertise
This is precisely the speciality of CL Brakes. And it is a French company! At the origin of this adventure, we find the Carbone Lorraine company, founded in 1937 and resulting from a merger between the Compagnie Lorraine de charbons pour l'électricité and the Le Carbone company.
Initially, braking was just one division of the French group. Until 2008, when it was sold to Faiveley Transport Gennevilliers (later Flertex Sinter) and renamed CL Brakes.
Today, the company has a solid reputation in brake pads for motorsport. Thanks to the sintering process, its products meet the requirements of the best drivers, both on the track and in rallies. In addition, the company is committed to the environment, guaranteeing that its parts are free of lead, asbestos and nickel.
No break-in required with CL Brakes
As you may also know, new brake discs need to be run in. This means that after a replacement (for example), it is necessary to go through a preliminary stage before they are fully functional. This usually consists of several gradual slowing downs, followed by a few hard braking operations, in order to acclimatise the new material.
But with CL Brakes, there is almost no break-in required! The pads are quickly ready for use. Once you have installed them, you will be able to enjoy reliable braking from the very first touch of the pedal. Even in extreme cold or hot conditions.
How about free delivery of your purchases on ORECA STORE?
So let yourself be tempted by the CL Brakes brake pads in our online shop. To help you make your choice, we indicate for each article the car models with which it is compatible.
