Sachs clutch release bearing
The clutch release bearing is a small but crucial part of a car's clutch system. By pressing on the clutch mechanism, it leads to the release of the clutch disc which provides the connection between the flywheel and the gearbox.
If you feel a problem with your clutch pedal (pedal does not come up or offers no resistance), it is most likely your clutch release bearing. In principle, a clutch release bearing lasts for one to several hundred thousand kilometres. In the case of a racing car, it may be worthwhile to replace your clutch release bearing more frequently and to buy an improved model such as the Sachs clutch release bearings.
