What is the role of a limited slip differential?

The Quaife ATB (Automatic Torque Biasing) limited slip differential is the perfect solution to improve your driveability. Compared to cars using an "open" differential, as they are often the case in the factory, a limited slip differential offers many advantages in terms of performance, strength and safety.

The role of the Quaife differential is to automatically redirect torque to the wheel with the most grip. This means less understeer on a front-wheel drive (or four-wheel drive) vehicle and less oversteer on a rear-wheel drive vehicle. This means you can approach corners with more speed and save a lot of time in races.

Finally, on front-wheel drive vehicles, the benefits of the Quaife differential are even felt during braking. The torque is transferred in the opposite direction to the wheel that does not lock. As a result, braking is improved by delaying the action of the electronic ABS system.
