If you're looking to upgrade your original coil, or if you want to complement the performance of your MSD ignition system, the Blaster II coil is the right choice.
Significant improvement in spark power and duration.
The ballast resistor supplied is only required if you are using a point distributor without an MSD electronic ignition module.
The coil can be fitted without a resistor when using an MSD electronic igniter.
