The Kompact range is Turbosmart's entry point into the world of dump valves (BOVs): it targets stock or lightly modified vehicles used on the road, for power outputs up to around 400 hp. It directly replaces the original plastic valve with a body machined from anodized billet aluminum and a lightweight precision piston, which eliminate compressor surge and the boost leaks typical of aging OEM valves. Available in Dual Port (atmospheric sound + recirculation) or Plumb Back (fully recirculating, quiet, MAF-compatible) versions, with interchangeable springs to adjust opening pressure. It is the best-selling range in its category worldwide: a reliable, robust, and very affordable replacement, while the BOV5 and RacePort ranges target more intensive use (track, high power).

SmartPort technology, designed for modern engines with electronic throttle control (drive-by-wire), combines the best of both worlds: the responsiveness of a recirculating (plumb-back) valve with the sound and performance of an atmospheric vent valve.

The SmartPort system is built on a novel manufacturing process (specific alloys and coatings) and a newly designed atmospheric vent trumpet. The SmartPort piston, made from a lighter aerospace-grade alloy and treated with a military-grade low-friction coating, delivers very fast response and enhanced sealing, resulting in quicker spool-up and improved performance on drive-by-wire vehicles. The SmartPort trumpet allows a softer spring to be used in the valve body, improving response on the recirculation port while retaining the ability to vent to atmosphere.
